Glycans are key functional components in protein biopharmaceuticals, disease biomarkers, viral vaccines, prebiotics, and a host of other myriad applications. Consequently, analytical methods for glycan characterization are in constant demand, as are the skills necessary to carry out such an analysis.

The Asia Glycomics Reference Site (AGRS) was founded in 2011 to support the scientific community and industry in the field of glycoanalysis and glycotechnology in the Asia-Pacific. We have signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with industry and academia and have over 30 research partners including, biopharmaceutical companies as well as governmental regulatory agencies. In addition, the AGRS conducts basic glycobiological research in collaboration with academic labs around the world.

Although the AGRS has a short history, we have earned a reputation as one of the most prestigious glycomics facilities in the Asia-Pacific region. AGRS will exert its best efforts to provide opportunities for education and training while developing analytical tools for glycomics and glycoproteomics.

We believe the AGRS will be a hub for glycomics in Asia, and we welcome partners to join us on this mission.
